Hello this item is made by order, I am currently fully booked for newcommissions. You can still purchase this artwork to join my September waiting list

This large hare is quite a character, like many of his siblings, is incredibly curious he likes to be part of the family as well and has a youthful disposition which means that he does like to exercise outside.

Please note that hare  will be made to order and  I currently have a minimum of a 2-3 -week lead time, if you wish to order hare, I am happy to provide you with a  gift certificate to present when needed.

Being born and bred in the south of England, and created from somerset willow stock, hare is a hearty charactor and needs just a little care.  He prefers dry areas and, like most of us, dislikes having a soggy bottom but then who can blame him for that. 

 

You can choose from two options

  • Hare with upright ears, which will measure approximately  70cm in height  to the top of the ears 
  • Hare moon gazing height approximately 50 cm to the nose tip on the moon gazing hare ( ears  30cm)

The length for both is approximately 41 cm from toe to tail and  27 cm across its hips. 

This version has 4 legs.

If you are purchasing it as a gift I am happy to provide you with a certificate to present to someone special whilst it is being created.

 

Aftercare  like many of us he/she doesnt like having a soggy bottom so keeping them slightly of the ground in a free draining area will help him to not catch a chill. 

If brought under cover / sheltered in harsh conditions in the winter it will  age more gracefully after all none of us like spending long periods of time out in cold wet weather.

For pampered  animals living indoors, they can survive well into old age

If you choose to place it outside, outdoor exposure can cause colours to fade or darken, and the materials will deteriorate over time with exposure to the elements.
