Willow deer/ stag sculpture workshop 7th November Burley New Forest
- Create your own willow deer workshop taking place in Burley in the heart of the New Forest
- £110.00
Inspired by the grace, movement and presence of these beautiful woodland animals, this workshop invites you to create your own small willow deer. Through the process of observing form, proportion and character, you will explore how natural materials can be shaped into a three-dimensional sculpture with its own personality.
Rather than simply following a pattern, you will be encouraged to observe, interpret and create, developing your own response to the deer’s distinctive shape and character. With guidance throughout the day, you will learn how to build structure, shape the willow and bring your sculpture to life.
Your finished deer will be approximately 50cm high to the top of the head (excluding antlers, should you choose to add them) and will be supported with sturdy metal legs to provide strength and stability.
Suitable for beginners as well as those with some previous willow experience, this relaxed and supportive workshop offers the opportunity to spend a day creating with natural materials and discovering the expressive possibilities of willow sculpture.
