Willow swift and swallow evening workshop Southampton 21st October

As summer fades and the swallows and swifts have begun their journey south, this October workshop is an opportunity to bring a little of that connection with nature into your home.

I’ll guide you through the process of creating your own willow swallow and swift, using natural willow to capture the shape and movement of these wonderful birds. Once finished, they can be hung where they gently move in the airflow, attached to a wall or fence, or placed near a window.

Hanging them in a window can also provide a natural visual aid to help prevent birds from flying into glass – a much nicer alternative to plastic decals that can be difficult to see.

You don’t need any previous experience with willow. I’ll guide you through the process step by step, and you’ll have plenty of opportunity to explore the material and create your own birds.
